Khi ông bà chợp mắt
Mẹ cũng cùng ngủ đi
Còn hai cái răng khôn
Mẹ nhớ đi bác sỹ
Con đã thơm lên má
Ru lặng thầm bớt đau
Đêm ngàn muôn vì sao
Ngày rạng ngời nắng hé
Mẹ đừng buồn đừng nhớ
Con lúc nào cũng vui
Mẹ không cần lui cui
Âm thầm lau nước mắt
Con "ngoéo tay" với bố
Sẽ làm cho mẹ cười
Mẹ ơi những ngày xa
Là con thương mẹ nhất
Mẹ đặt tay lên tim
Có con đang ở đó
Như ngọt ngào cơn gió
Như nồng nàn cơn mưa
Với vạn ngàn nỗi nhớ
Mẹ dịu dàng trong con!

Ngày 1/9, Nhật Nam sẽ quay trở lại Mỹ tiếp tục học tập, kết thúc kì nghỉ hè ở Việt Nam. Chàng trai được mệnh danh là "thần đồng" từ khi còn bé làm một bài thơ tặng mẹ trước khi lên đường.
